The Junior Process Equipment Reliability Engineer supports the reliability and maintenance teams by assisting in the analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement of process equipment performance. This role focuses on learning and applying reliability engineering principles to help reduce downtime, improve asset longevity, and support production goals. The ideal candidate is eager to grow their technical skills in mechanical and process equipment reliability within a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Assist in collecting and analyzing equipment performance data to identify reliability issues.
Support root cause failure investigations and help implement corrective actions for process equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, and conveyors.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Help maintain equipment documentation, reliability records, and CMMS data accuracy.
Participate in equipment inspections, audits, and condition monitoring activities.
Learn and apply reliability tools and methodologies including basic FMEA and RCA techniques.
Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Work under guidance from senior reliability engineers and maintenance managers.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (recent graduates welcome).
Experience:
Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or maintenance preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and process equipment is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Basic knowledge of reliability concepts and maintenance practices.
