As a Mid-Level Principal Sales Engineer for API Pumps, you will be responsible for driving technical sales and business development across key industrial sectors including oil & gas, power, and petrochemical. You will lead technical discussions, support proposal development, and ensure client requirements are met with precision-engineered API pump solutions. This role involves both customer-facing responsibilities and internal coordination to deliver tailored solutions.
Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with API standards (e.g., API 610).
Engage directly with clients, consultants, and EPC contractors to understand project requirements and present tailored pump solutions.
Analyze customer specifications and recommend appropriate pump types and configurations.
Support the sales cycle from initial inquiry through to order finalization, including site visits, RFQs, and negotiations.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure technical compliance and timely delivery.
Provide guidance to junior sales engineers and assist with their development.
Track and report market trends, competitor activity, and project pipelines.
Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and technical presentations.
Drive client relationship management to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3–6 years of experience in sales of API pumps or rotating equipment
Strong understanding of API pump standards and industrial applications

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Familiarity with CRM systems and engineering tools
Willingness to travel for business development and client meetings
