We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pressure Vessel Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and compliance of pressure vessels and related components used in power plant applications. This role serves as the technical authority on pressure vessel engineering, responsible for guiding teams, reviewing complex calculations, ensuring ASME code compliance, and providing solutions across design, fabrication, and inspection phases. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ASME Section VIII, advanced design tools, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure design integrity and operational safety.
Lead the mechanical design and validation of pressure vessels, steam drums, heat exchangers, and related components.
Perform and approve advanced calculations for internal/external pressures, nozzle loads, wind/seismic forces, and thermal effects per ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2.
Guide complex FEA modeling, fatigue analysis, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
Interpret and apply ASME BPVC Sections II, V, VIII, IX, and related API/TEMA standards.
Ensure vessel designs meet regulatory, contractual, and safety requirements.
Lead the preparation and review of design documentation required for U-stamp certification and third-party review.
Interface with project management, procurement, fabrication, and QA/QC teams to ensure seamless execution of design intent.
Resolve technical queries (TQs), non-conformities (NCRs), and fabrication deviations through sound engineering judgment.
Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and constructability assessments.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on vessel design principles, ASME code use, and best practices.
Review and validate WPS/PQRs and welding details for pressure boundary integrity.
Drive design optimization initiatives to improve cost, manufacturability, and performance.
Advanced pressure vessel design and stress analysis
Code compliance with ASME Section VIII, API, and international standards
Multidisciplinary coordination and issue resolution
