We are seeking a competent Pressure Vessel Design Engineer (Mid-Level) with solid experience in the mechanical design and engineering of pressure vessels for power plant applications. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and documentation of pressure-retaining components in compliance with ASME Section VIII, API, and client-specific standards. The candidate will be involved in full-cycle vessel engineering, from concept to fabrication support, and will collaborate closely with fabrication, QA/QC, and procurement teams.
Perform design calculations for shells, heads, nozzles, and supports using ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2.
Use specialized software such as PV Elite, Compress, and NozzlePRO for mechanical analysis.
Analyze loads, internal/external pressures, wind/seismic loads, and support reactions.
Select appropriate materials based on service conditions and mechanical properties.
Prepare and review fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings, and detailed component drawings.
Generate data sheets, bill of materials (BOM), and design reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
Interface with procurement and QA/QC for material specification, traceability, and inspection requirements.
Provide technical support to fabrication teams, resolve design-related RFIs, and participate in design reviews.
Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and certification bodies when required.
Ensure compliance with ASME BPVC, TEMA, API 660/650 (as applicable), and internal QA requirements.
Participate in the preparation and review of design dossiers and ASME U-stamp documentation.
Support troubleshooting of fabrication or fit-up issues and propose engineering solutions.
