We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-Level Piping Supervisor to oversee piping fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities at our industrial site. The role involves coordinating field crews, ensuring work is executed according to specifications and drawings, and maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on piping experience who have taken on leadership roles and are ready to manage day-to-day site operations more independently.
Supervise field installation, alignment, and testing of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and isometric drawings.
Monitor daily crew activities including fit-up, welding, and hydrotesting.
Support material take-offs and verify proper piping component usage on site.
Enforce company and regulatory safety standards, ensuring proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
Conduct toolbox talks and participate in risk assessments (JSA/JHA).
Identify and report safety violations or near misses promptly.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, non-conformity resolution, and documentation.
Maintain field inspection records including weld maps, test reports, and punch lists.
Assist in preparing work packs and mechanical completion dossiers.
Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and quality of welders, fitters, and helpers.
Liaise with planning, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure work fronts are ready.
Report progress, manpower, and material needs to senior supervisors or site managers.
Supervise piping execution and field teams
Enforce safety and quality compliance on site
Support hydrotesting and line checking activities
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Technology, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in piping construction or maintenance in oil & gas, power, or industrial sectors.
Demonstrated experience supervising piping field crews and supporting shutdown or EPC projects.
Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, piping isometrics, and GA drawings.
Knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API, etc.).
Familiarity with welding procedures, pipe supports, and pressure testing techniques.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Strong planning, organizational, and coordination abilities.
Safety-focused and quality-oriented mindset.
HSE certifications such as OSHA 30, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
Familiarity with mechanical completion and commissioning systems is an asset.
