Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Pipeline Valve Supervisor to assist in overseeing the maintenance and operation of large-diameter pipeline valves used in water treatment and distribution systems. This role involves supporting valve teams in performing inspections, maintenance, and operational checks to ensure pipeline integrity and flow control.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Support

• Assist in supervising field crews responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and operation of large-diameter pipeline valves (e.g., gate valves, butterfly valves).

• Help coordinate valve exercising, lubrication, and minor repairs to maintain system reliability.

• Support scheduling and prioritization of valve maintenance activities.

Hands-on Maintenance & Inspection

• Participate in valve inspections, including checking for leaks, corrosion, and operational issues.

• Assist with valve operation during system startups, shutdowns, or emergency situations.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote adherence to safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to senior supervisors promptly.

• Ensure all activities comply with company and regulatory standards.

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and inspection activities in CMMS or other tracking systems.

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and operations staff.

• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Technical training or certification in mechanical or pipeline maintenance preferred

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in valve maintenance, pipeline operations, or related mechanical fields

• Some supervisory or team lead exposure is a plus

Skills:

• Basic understanding of large-diameter valve types and maintenance practices

• Ability to follow procedures and use inspection/maintenance tools

• Familiarity with safety protocols in pipeline environments

• Good communication and teamwork skills
