The Mid-Level Pipefitting Supervisor – Sanitary Piping leads and coordinates pipefitting operations focused on sanitary stainless steel piping systems within a food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role supervises a team of pipefitters, ensuring compliance with 3-A Sanitary Standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements. The supervisor manages daily work schedules, monitors installation and maintenance quality, and collaborates with engineering and production teams to support project and operational goals.
Supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of sanitary stainless steel piping systems according to 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Assign pipefitting tasks, manage team workflow, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure piping integrity and compliance with sanitary and safety standards.
Oversee adherence to safety policies, conduct safety training, and promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to resolve piping system issues and support process improvements.
Manage pipefitting tools, equipment, and material inventories to optimize operational efficiency.
Mentor and train pipefitting staff on best practices, safety, and sanitary piping techniques.
Provide regular updates and reports on pipefitting activities, progress, and challenges to management.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification or vocational training in pipefitting, plumbing, or related field preferred
4–6 years of pipefitting experience, including sanitary stainless steel piping installation and maintenance
At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in food-grade or sanitary piping environments
Strong knowledge of sanitary piping standards (3-A), stainless steel fabrication, and food safety requirements
Effective leadership and team management skills
Solid understanding of safety regulations and quality assurance
Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced production environment
