The Junior Pipefitting Supervisor – Sanitary Piping supports supervision of pipefitting activities focused on installation, maintenance, and fabrication of sanitary piping systems within a food and beverage manufacturing environment. Reporting to senior supervisors, this role assists in coordinating pipefitters, ensuring compliance with sanitary standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements. This position provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills in a hands-on, process-critical area.
Assist in supervising daily pipefitting operations related to sanitary stainless steel piping installation and maintenance.
Support scheduling and coordination of pipefitting tasks to meet project timelines and production needs.
Monitor work quality and adherence to sanitary piping standards (e.g., 3-A Sanitary Standards).
Assist in conducting inspections and ensure corrective actions for pipefitting work as needed.
Promote safe work practices and compliance with safety policies in pipefitting activities.
Support training and development of pipefitting team members on sanitary piping techniques and procedures.
Maintain pipefitting tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in good condition.
Communicate effectively with senior supervisors, project managers, and cross-functional teams to address pipefitting issues.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical or vocational training in pipefitting or plumbing preferred
1-3 years experience in pipefitting, preferably with sanitary or stainless steel piping
Some exposure to supervisory or lead responsibilities is a plus
Basic knowledge of pipefitting techniques and sanitary piping standards
Familiarity with food-grade sanitary piping requirements preferred
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
Willingness to learn and grow in a supervisory capacity
