We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Pipe Fitter / Fabrication Fitter to lead complex fabrication and pipe fitting projects across industrial and oil & gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of piping systems, materials, and fabrication methods, and will take a leadership role in supervising teams, ensuring adherence to specifications, safety standards, and delivering high-quality work on time.
Lead the layout, preparation, fabrication, and installation of piping systems based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Select appropriate tools, materials, and methods for various piping and fabrication tasks.
Ensure dimensional accuracy, proper alignment, and fit-up for welds and joints.
Oversee the handling and installation of valves, flanges, supports, and associated equipment.
Supervise a team of junior and mid-level fitters and coordinate daily work schedules.
Liaise with project engineers, welders, QA/QC, and supervisors to resolve technical challenges.
Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project timelines and milestones.
Train and mentor junior fitters and ensure best practices are followed.
Perform detailed checks and inspections during and after fabrication/installation.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API), procedures, and specifications.
Collaborate with QA/QC for weld inspections, hydrotests, and dimensional checks.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of fabrication and installation activities.
Enforce and promote a strong safety culture within the team.
Conduct risk assessments, JSA reviews, and ensure PPE compliance.
Participate in toolbox talks and incident reporting/investigation as needed.
Leadership in pipe fitting and fabrication execution
Technical excellence in interpreting complex drawings and standards
Supervision, mentoring, and workflow coordination
Quality and HSE compliance in high-risk environments
Proactive problem-solving and communication
High school diploma required
Vocational or technical training in mechanical fabrication or pipe fitting is preferred
Additional certifications in ASME standards, rigging, or safety are an advantage
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial/mechanical pipe fitting and fabrication
Demonstrated expertise in oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, or heavy industrial projects
Strong understanding of piping codes and industry standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.1)
Advanced knowledge of tools, materials, and fabrication techniques
Strong leadership, planning, and team coordination skills
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve field issues independently
Excellent understanding of welding preparation and QA/QC requirements
