Job Title: Structural Fabricator – Power Plant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fabricator with solid experience in fabricating and assembling structural steel components for power plant facilities. The candidate will work independently on complex fabrication tasks, interpret detailed structural drawings, and ensure quality and safety compliance while supporting fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Fabrication & Assembly:

• Independently fabricate, cut, drill, grind, and assemble steel structures such as beams, columns, platforms, pipe supports, and staircases.

• Prepare components for welding, bolting, and installation according to specifications.

• Set up and operate fabrication machinery including saws, grinders, and drilling machines.

Technical Interpretation:

• Read and interpret detailed structural drawings, fabrication blueprints, and engineering specifications accurately.

• Verify dimensions and tolerances during fabrication to ensure compliance with design.

Quality & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all fabrication work meets quality standards and project specifications.

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and encourage safe work practices among team members.

• Identify and address fabrication defects or non-conformances promptly.

Team Collaboration & Mentoring:

• Support junior fabricators by providing technical guidance and training.

• Coordinate with welders, fitters, and supervisors to streamline fabrication and installation processes.

• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Focus Areas:

• Independent fabrication and assembly of structural steel components

• Accurate interpretation of fabrication drawings and engineering specs

• Maintaining quality and safety compliance

• Supporting and mentoring junior fabricators

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Technical diploma or certification in structural fabrication, welding, or related field

Experience:

• 4–7 years of hands-on structural steel fabrication experience, preferably in power plant or heavy industrial settings

Skills:

• Proficient with fabrication tools and machinery

• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings and fabrication documents

• Good understanding of welding preparation and fit-up requirements
