Job Title: Payroll Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Payroll Manager to lead the end-to-end payroll function and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant salary processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll systems, ensuring statutory compliance, overseeing benefits disbursement, and providing expert guidance on payroll best practices and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and execution of payroll processes for all employees across multiple departments or regions.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance requirements, and internal policies.

  • Maintain and update payroll systems, employee records, and salary structures.

  • Reconcile payroll data with HR, finance, and accounting systems for accuracy and reporting.

  • Handle payroll audits, internal controls, and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

  • Manage payroll-related documentation such as payslips, tax filings, WPS reports, and end-of-service benefits.

  • Respond to employee queries related to salaries, deductions, leave balances, and final settlements.

  • Coordinate with finance and HR teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Ensure continuous improvement of payroll processes and automation opportunities for efficiency.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Monthly payroll processing and validation

  • Payroll compliance (WPS, gratuity, tax, pension)

  • Leave management and final settlements

  • Payroll software management and system upgrades

  • Internal payroll audits and reporting

  • Cross-functional coordination with HR & Finance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field

  • 5–8 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, wage regulations, and government reporting requirements (e.g., UAE WPS, GOSI, GCC tax systems)

  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ADP, or local payroll platforms)

  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Certification in payroll or HR (e.g., CPP, SHRM, CIPD) is a plus
