We are seeking a Mid-Level Overhaul/Turnaround Supervisor – Turbines to coordinate and oversee the execution of gas and steam turbine maintenance during planned turnarounds and overhauls. This role involves supervising technical teams, enforcing safety procedures, ensuring schedule adherence, and delivering high-quality turbine maintenance outcomes. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with turbine systems and proven leadership in shutdown environments.
Coordinate turbine inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly during shutdowns and turnarounds.
Supervise mechanical crews and contractors performing overhaul activities.
Ensure all work is executed per the scope, schedule, and technical specifications.
Interpret OEM procedures and mechanical drawings for turbine overhauls.
Ensure correct installation and alignment of turbine components (rotors, diaphragms, blades, seals).
Troubleshoot field issues and escalate complex technical challenges to engineering or OEMs.
Enforce strict compliance with safety standards, PTW systems, LOTO, and confined space entry.
Lead safety briefings and monitor the work area for hazards or unsafe practices.
Ensure all quality checks, torqueing, and dimensional inspections are completed and documented.
Lead and direct small to mid-sized mechanical teams and vendors on multiple work fronts.
Allocate tasks and track productivity to ensure shift-wise progress targets are met.
Support the development and training of junior technicians and supervisors.
Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and issue trackers.
Compile post-job documentation, including as-found/as-left reports and punch list closures.
Assist in root cause analysis and lessons-learned documentation after outages.
Effective coordination of turbine overhaul scopes
Leadership of multidisciplinary work teams
Field supervision with focus on safety and execution quality
Interface with planners, QA/QC, and OEM reps
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
OEM turbine training or maintenance certifications are highly desirable
4–7 years of experience in turbine maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Solid understanding of turbine systems, overhaul procedures, and shutdown logistics
Hands-on experience with OEM turbines (GE, Siemens, Alstom, Mitsubishi, etc.)
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, work packs, and method statements
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage field teams under pressure and meet turnaround targets
Familiarity with maintenance software (CMMS), MS Office, and reporting tools
OSHA/NEBOSH safety certification
Lifting, rigging, and confined space entry qualifications
OEM turbine maintenance training certificates
