We are seeking a Junior Overhaul/Turnaround Supervisor – Turbines to support turbine maintenance and overhaul operations during plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and scheduled outages. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with hands-on turbine experience looking to transition into a leadership role. The selected candidate will work closely with senior supervisors and engineers to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
Assist in the coordination of turbine disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly.
Monitor the work progress of technicians and contractors during shutdowns and outages.
Support adherence to the overhaul schedule, identifying and reporting any deviations or delays.
Follow all safety procedures including permit-to-work (PTW), lockout/tagout (LOTO), and confined space entry.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and hazard assessments.
Ensure PPE use and safety protocol compliance in the field.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inspection findings, and part replacements.
Report progress, challenges, and incidents to the senior supervisor or turnaround manager.
Help in compiling technical data into daily shift reports.
Work closely with senior supervisors, engineers, and planners to understand job scopes.
Coordinate the availability of tools, equipment, and manpower with minimal disruption.
Assist with logistics and preparation of turbine parts and consumables.
Field support for turbine overhaul and turnaround work
Basic supervision and coordination of small work groups
Compliance with safety and quality standards
Development into a full supervisory role through hands-on experience
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Training or coursework in gas/steam turbine operation or maintenance is a plus
1–3 years of experience in turbine maintenance or overhaul support
Familiarity with turbine components (rotors, casings, blades, seals, etc.) and mechanical tools
Prior involvement in turnaround/shutdown projects is preferred
Basic leadership and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and safety practices
Ability to follow instructions, technical procedures, and maintenance standards
Willingness to work long hours, shifts, and in field/outage conditions
Basic HSE certifications (e.g., OSHA, first aid, fire safety)
Lifting & rigging or confined space entry training
