Job Title: Millwright Technician
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Millwright Technician – Junior Level to join our dynamic team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone eager to start a career in mechanical maintenance and machinery installation. As a Junior Millwright Technician, you will work under the guidance of experienced millwrights to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and mechanical systems. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, and system troubleshooting while contributing to the successful operation of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Installation and Assembly:
- Assist in the installation, alignment, and assembly of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, and engines, under the supervision of senior millwrights.
- Help with the setup of equipment according to technical specifications, drawings, and blueprints.
- Support the mechanical team in ensuring all machinery is installed safely and operates according to design.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Support the team in performing routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and checking machine components for wear and tear.
- Assist in the identification of faults and assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repairs of machinery and mechanical systems.
- Help disassemble and reassemble equipment to inspect and repair parts, ensuring that all parts are functioning correctly.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while performing mechanical tasks.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations during all activities on-site, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety drills and maintain a keen awareness of potential hazards in the workplace.
Tools and Equipment Handling:
- Assist in maintaining and organizing tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Use hand and power tools to carry out routine maintenance tasks, including tightening bolts, replacing parts, and adjusting machinery.
- Assist senior millwrights with more complex repairs and installations as your skills develop.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs performed on equipment.
- Assist in updating maintenance logs and inventory records for equipment and parts used.
- Help prepare daily or weekly reports on equipment performance, operational issues, and maintenance tasks completed.
Learning and Skill Development:
- Take part in training sessions, both formal and on-the-job, to develop technical expertise in mechanical systems and equipment.
- Learn to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics under the guidance of senior millwrights.
- Gain practical experience with a variety of mechanical systems, tools, and technologies, progressively becoming more independent in your role.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or diploma in mechanical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems or a willingness to learn.
Experience:
- 1-3 years professional experience required; this is an entry-level role suitable for recent graduates or those with basic mechanical knowledge.
- Any hands-on projects, internships, or training related to mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or maintenance will be an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong interest in mechanical systems and an eagerness to learn about machinery maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Basic ability to use mechanical tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- A safety-conscious attitude and willingness to adhere to safety regulations.
- Ability to work well within a team and take direction from senior technicians.
Certifications (Preferred):
