We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Mechanical Supervisor – Valve Section (Fresher) to join our mechanical team. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for recent graduates in mechanical or production engineering who are eager to start their careers in industrial maintenance and valve operations. You will support daily supervision of valve maintenance tasks, learn industry best practices, and assist senior engineers and technicians in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of valve systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Supervision:
Assist in overseeing routine maintenance, testing, and minor repair work on industrial valves under the guidance of senior engineers.
Observe and support technicians during the inspection and servicing of isolation valves, control valves, and safety relief valves.
Learn and apply basic troubleshooting techniques to identify valve-related issues.
Team Coordination:
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Support the preparation of job plans, work permits, and tool checklists for valve maintenance jobs.
Monitor daily work activities and report progress or issues to the maintenance engineer or lead supervisor.
Safety & Compliance:
Learn and enforce safety practices, including use of PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and confined space entry during valve-related work.
Ensure that all valve operations and maintenance activities are compliant with company and industry safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
Assist in maintaining records of valve maintenance, inspection logs, and equipment history.
Document issues encountered in the field and support root cause investigations.
Help maintain and organize technical drawings, datasheets, and manuals.
Learning & Development:
Undergo training in valve operation, maintenance techniques, and quality control standards.
Familiarize yourself with engineering drawings (P&ID, isometrics) and valve sizing basics.
Participate in toolbox talks, technical workshops, and mentorship programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (recent graduate or final-year student).
Any short courses or internship experience in valve maintenance, piping systems, or plant operations is a plus.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong interest in mechanical systems and hands-on industrial work.
Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic understanding of mechanical tools, safety practices, and engineering concepts.
