The Mechanical Supervisor – Valve (Junior Level) assists in supervising the maintenance, installation, and inspection of industrial valves. This role supports senior technicians in ensuring that valve systems, including control, safety, isolation, and pressure relief valves, are functioning efficiently and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Assist in supervising valve servicing, maintenance, testing, and calibration.
Support disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of valves such as gate, globe, ball, butterfly, and safety relief valves.
Maintain tools, equipment, and proper documentation of service activities.
Monitor basic valve performance and report issues to senior supervisors.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance and workshop activities.
Assist in installation and commissioning of valves on-site under supervision.
Coordinate with warehouse or inventory for required spare parts and materials.
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in valve maintenance or general mechanical workshop operations (internship or apprenticeship acceptable).
Basic understanding of valve types, functions, and components.
Familiarity with workshop tools, safety procedures, and maintenance logs.
Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or valve diagrams.
Willingness to learn and grow within the valve maintenance or service field.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Basic knowledge of industry codes (API, ASME, ISO) is a plus.
Flexibility to work on-site or in workshop environments.
