The Mechanical Supervisor – Turbine (Junior Level) is responsible for assisting in the supervision and coordination of maintenance and basic installation tasks related to gas and steam turbines. The role supports senior supervisors in ensuring turbine components are maintained safely and efficiently in compliance with operational and safety standards.
Assist in the supervision of turbine maintenance activities, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of components.
Support alignment and installation of turbine rotors, casings, bearings, and auxiliary systems.
Monitor work progress on-site or in the workshop and report issues to the senior supervisor.
Ensure tools and lifting equipment are used properly and safely during turbine service work.
Help coordinate logistics and parts availability with warehouse or inventory teams.
Record maintenance tasks, inspections, and findings in logs or service reports.
Follow safety protocols during turbine start-up, shutdown, or maintenance procedures.
Assist in handling turbine auxiliaries such as gearboxes, lube oil systems, and compressors.
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably with turbines or rotating equipment (internship or apprenticeship acceptable).
Basic understanding of steam/gas turbine components and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with mechanical drawings, alignment tools, and torque specifications.
Good communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
Willingness to learn and develop into a mid/senior turbine specialist role.
Awareness of industry safety standards and practices (LOTO, confined space, etc.).
Flexibility to work at site-based locations, power plants, or on rotating shifts.
Strong teamwork and discipline in high-risk maintenance environments.
