The Mechanical Supervisor – Pumps & Motors (Junior Level) assists in overseeing the installation, servicing, and maintenance of industrial pumps and motors. This role supports senior supervisors in ensuring equipment is operating efficiently and in accordance with maintenance standards, safety procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
Assist in supervising the installation, alignment, and maintenance of centrifugal, submersible, multistage, and gear pumps.
Support disassembly and inspection of motors (LV/MV) and pump components for routine maintenance or fault analysis.
Monitor work activities of technicians and helpers on-site or in the workshop.
Help ensure proper use of tools, safety equipment, and lifting gear.
Maintain basic records such as daily maintenance logs, service checklists, and job cards.
Report abnormalities, potential issues, or material/tool shortages to the senior supervisor.
Assist with lubrication, bearing inspection, seal replacement, and alignment under supervision.
Support workshop cleanliness, tool arrangement, and inventory tracking.
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Technology.
1–3 years of experience in pump/motor maintenance (internship/apprenticeship acceptable).
Basic knowledge of industrial pumps, electric motors, and their components.
Familiarity with mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
Understanding of basic safety practices in mechanical maintenance.
Willingness to work in shifts, remote sites, or on-call maintenance schedules.
Eagerness to learn advanced pump/motor servicing and supervision.
Good teamwork, communication, and discipline in industrial environments.
Awareness of alignment techniques, coupling types, and vibration basics is a plus.
