The Junior Mechanical Supervisor – Instrumentation supports the supervision and execution of mechanical tasks related to field instrumentation. This includes assisting in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments, while ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with technical standards.
Assist in supervising daily mechanical tasks related to field instrumentation and support equipment.
Support the installation, alignment, and basic calibration of mechanical instrumentation devices (e.g., pressure gauges, thermowells, impulse lines).
Monitor the condition of instrument mounting hardware, enclosures, and supports, and report abnormalities.
Ensure that piping, tubing, and fittings associated with instrumentation are installed and maintained correctly.
Coordinate with instrument technicians and electricians during maintenance activities.
Maintain work records, job logs, and tool inventory for instrumentation-related mechanical works.
Follow HSE guidelines during all tasks, especially during confined space or high-pressure work.
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
1–3 years of experience in mechanical or instrumentation maintenance (internship/apprenticeship acceptable).
Basic knowledge of process instrumentation and associated mechanical components (brackets, tubing, manifolds).
Ability to read basic P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn advanced instrumentation systems and grow into a senior role.
Familiarity with basic tools, fittings, and mechanical installation best practices.
Safety-conscious and eager to work in plant or field conditions.
