The Senior Mechanical Supervisor – HVAC is responsible for leading all HVAC operations including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems. This role involves supervising large teams, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards, and optimizing HVAC performance across high-value commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Lead HVAC teams in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of major systems: chillers, VRF/VRV, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork, BMS-integrated controls, and ventilation systems.
Interpret HVAC shop drawings, BOQs, technical submittals, and compliance documents.
Plan and execute project schedules, resource allocation, and technical task distribution.
Supervise functional testing, balancing, and commissioning procedures in collaboration with engineering teams and commissioning authorities.
Ensure all HVAC activities are compliant with ASHRAE, SMACNA, LEED, and relevant building codes.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and plumbing teams to ensure integrated MEP installations.
Conduct root cause analysis on HVAC system failures and implement corrective actions.
Prepare site inspection reports, maintenance logs, daily activity reports, and handover documentation.
Ensure strict implementation of HSE policies and participate in audits and toolbox talks.
Mentor and evaluate the performance of HVAC technicians and junior supervisors.
Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Technology.
8–12 years of HVAC supervisory experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior role.
Expertise in chilled water systems, ducting layouts, airflow balancing, control systems, and HVAC commissioning.
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary MEP teams in large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC system integration with BMS and energy efficiency practices.
Certification in HVAC commissioning, TAB, or LEED is a plus.
Experience in hospitals, airports, data centers, or high-rise commercial buildings.
Familiarity with CMMS, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills.
