The Mechanical Supervisor – HVAC (Mid-Level) is responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This includes managing a team of technicians, ensuring quality control, and maintaining system performance and reliability in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Supervise installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems such as chillers, VRF/VRV units, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, and ducting.
Review HVAC layout drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to guide technicians on-site.
Monitor team productivity, task allocation, and ensure timely completion of work.
Perform and oversee inspections, functional testing, and commissioning support for HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and airflow issues and recommend solutions for improved efficiency.
Ensure HVAC systems are maintained according to preventive maintenance schedules.
Coordinate with procurement and store departments for HVAC materials, tools, and spare parts.
Maintain documentation such as work permits, checklists, service reports, and maintenance logs.
Enforce compliance with HSE policies, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
Assist in training junior technicians and support skill development within the team.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Technology.
4–7 years of experience in HVAC system supervision, maintenance, and installation.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, chilled water systems, air distribution systems, and HVAC control components.
Ability to read HVAC drawings, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets.
Familiarity with international HVAC standards and codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
Experience working in high-rise buildings, hospitals, malls, or industrial facilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of energy efficiency and green building HVAC practices.
Strong leadership and communication skills for effective team and client coordination.
