The Mechanical Supervisor – HVAC (Junior Level) assists in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role supports senior supervisors and ensures work is carried out according to safety standards and project specifications in commercial, residential, or industrial environments.
Assist in supervising the installation and servicing of HVAC equipment including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), VRF/VRV systems, ducting, and ventilation systems.
Monitor technicians on routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
Read and interpret basic HVAC layout drawings and equipment datasheets.
Ensure proper use of tools, safety procedures, and job completion documentation.
Report any equipment malfunction or safety issues to the senior supervisor.
Help coordinate material, tools, and manpower for daily site or workshop activities.
Support inspection and testing of HVAC systems under supervision.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Technology.
1–3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or installation (internship/apprenticeship acceptable).
Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration cycles, ductwork, and mechanical ventilation.
Familiarity with tools, safety practices, and maintenance reporting.
Willingness to work in shifts or on project sites.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
Eagerness to learn and develop skills in HVAC system supervision.
Understanding of basic HVAC safety and troubleshooting procedures.
