The Mechanical Supervisor – Boiler (Mid-Level) is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems and associated mechanical equipment. This includes coordinating a team of technicians, ensuring safe work practices, and maintaining system performance across industrial or utility facilities.
Supervise the operation and maintenance of steam and hot water boilers, burners, feedwater systems, valves, and piping.
Plan and execute scheduled preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and shutdown overhauls.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
Monitor boiler efficiency, fuel consumption, and emissions, and recommend improvement actions.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, IBR, NFPA).
Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and inspection reports.
Lead and mentor junior technicians, assigning tasks and providing technical guidance.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and inspection authorities for repair work and certifications.
Report equipment status and job progress to plant management.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
4–7 years of relevant experience in boiler maintenance and operations.
Strong understanding of boiler systems (fire-tube, water-tube), pumps, valves, pressure vessels, and combustion systems.
Familiarity with mechanical safety standards and regulatory inspection requirements.
Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS) and technical documentation.
Certification in boiler operation or pressure vessel maintenance (if required by local regulations).
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret P&ID, mechanical schematics, and OEM manuals.
Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations.
