We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead and coordinate valve maintenance activities at water treatment plants. This role involves supervising maintenance crews, ensuring timely repairs and inspections, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the reliability of critical valve systems.
Supervision & Team Leadership
Lead and supervise valve maintenance teams responsible for inspecting, repairing, and servicing valves such as gate, butterfly, check, and control valves.
Assign daily work tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality workmanship.
Mentor and train junior technicians and helpers in valve maintenance best practices and safety.
Maintenance Coordination
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for valve systems.
Coordinate valve exercising, lubrication, troubleshooting, and replacement activities.
Collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule work and manage resources effectively.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure incident reporting and corrective actions.
Ensure all valve maintenance activities comply with regulatory and company standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of valve maintenance, inspections, and repairs in the CMMS.
Generate reports on valve conditions, maintenance progress, and team performance.
Communicate with operations and engineering teams regarding valve status and maintenance needs.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or diploma in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred
Experience:
4–7 years of mechanical or valve maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Experience working in water treatment or related industrial environments preferred
Skills:
Solid understanding of valve types, operation, and maintenance procedures
Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs
Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo, Cityworks) and maintenance planning
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
