We are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Supervisor to assist in overseeing valve maintenance activities within water treatment plants. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for someone with mechanical skills who is ready to develop leadership abilities by supporting teams maintaining valves and related mechanical equipment.
Supervision & Coordination
Assist in supervising daily valve maintenance tasks such as inspections, lubrication, minor repairs, and exercising of valves (gate, butterfly, check, control valves).
Help assign work to valve technicians and mechanics; monitor task completion and quality.
Support scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Hands-on Maintenance Support
Participate in valve troubleshooting, repair, and routine maintenance under guidance.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Assist in maintaining valve asset documentation and condition records.
Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce safe work practices including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and proper PPE usage.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents to senior supervisors promptly.
Ensure valve maintenance activities comply with utility and regulatory standards.
Communication & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used in the CMMS system.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and operations personnel.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Assisting supervision of valve maintenance crews

Documentation and communication support
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical training or apprenticeship in mechanical maintenance or industrial systems preferred
Experience:
1–3 years of mechanical or valve maintenance experience, preferably in water treatment or industrial environments
Some prior experience or interest in supervisory roles is a plus
Skills:
Basic knowledge of valve types and maintenance procedures
Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and follow instructions
Familiarity with safety practices and maintenance tools
Good communication and teamwork skills
