We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Supervisor – Turbine Section to support and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities for gas and/or steam turbines. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in turbine operations or maintenance, looking to step into a leadership-track position. The role involves assisting senior supervisors, overseeing small maintenance teams, and ensuring tasks are performed safely and in compliance with operational procedures.
Assist in coordinating and supervising daily maintenance and repair tasks on turbines and auxiliary equipment.
Support the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of turbine components under senior supervision.
Monitor basic mechanical parameters and assist in troubleshooting issues.
Supervise small teams of technicians during routine maintenance tasks.
Ensure work areas are organized, tools are available, and safety practices are followed.
Report progress and challenges to senior supervisors or engineers.
Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, including PPE usage, permit-to-work systems, and basic LOTO practices.
Participate in toolbox talks and report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
Assist in maintaining logs, checklists, and maintenance records.
Support the collection of data during inspections and repairs for reporting and analysis.
Assist turbine maintenance and repair activities
Supervise entry-level teams in safe work practices
Support documentation and reporting processes
Follow HSE procedures rigorously
Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Technology, or a related field
Apprenticeship or vocational training in mechanical systems is a plus
1–3 years of hands-on mechanical experience, ideally in turbine or rotating equipment environments
Exposure to power plants, oil & gas, or heavy industry preferred
Basic understanding of gas/steam turbine components and operation
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and follow procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and willingness to learn
Basic HSE certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, site safety induction)
Rigging & lifting or confined space certification is a plus
