The Mid-Level Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily mechanical maintenance activities in the power plant. This includes supervising teams of technicians, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance of rotating and static equipment, and supporting plant availability and reliability. The role ensures safety compliance and maintenance excellence across equipment such as turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
Maintenance Execution
Supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical systems and equipment.
Ensure maintenance is performed according to OEM guidelines, industry standards, and site-specific procedures.
Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and junior supervisors.
Allocate daily tasks, monitor work quality, and ensure timely completion.
Equipment Monitoring & Reliability Support
Inspect and monitor the health of critical mechanical assets including pumps, compressors, valves, and turbines.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability initiatives for recurring or critical failures.
Shutdowns & Turnarounds
Participate in planning and execution of plant outages and equipment overhauls.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient turnaround activities.
Documentation & CMMS
Update maintenance records, inspection reports, and failure logs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
Ensure spare parts, consumables, and tools are available and tracked.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety protocols, LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and ensure safety compliance of assigned teams.

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field
Experience: 4โ8 years in mechanical maintenance in power plants or heavy industrial sectors
Certifications (Preferred):
Safety Certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.)
RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) Awareness
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
Strong technical knowledge of pumps, turbines, piping systems, and rotating equipment
Proficiency in using CMMS tools (SAP, Maximo)
Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals
Problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
Good communication and leadership skills
Understanding of power plant operations and maintenance workflows
On-site work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and rotating machinery
May include shift work, weekends, and availability for emergency breakdowns
Strict adherence to PPE and site safety standards required
