Job Title: Mechanical Service Technician

Job Summary: 

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mid-Level Mechanical Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment. You will work independently on tasks with minimal supervision and collaborate with senior technicians on more complex issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance & Repairs: Independently perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical issues in equipment, perform detailed troubleshooting, and apply effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks and inspections, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards to prevent breakdowns and extend service life.
• Installation & Upgrades: Assist in the installation and upgrade of mechanical components or systems, ensuring they meet specifications and safety requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior technicians and other team members to solve complex mechanical problems and contribute to team objectives. Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in service logs. Report issues, trends, and any concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Tool & Equipment Use: Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively to perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting safety awareness across the team.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current on new technologies, mechanical systems, and best practices. Seek opportunities to develop technical skills through training and hands-on experience.

• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Efficiently identify mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment is always in optimal working condition and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
• Team Leadership & Support: Provide guidance to junior technicians and collaborate with senior staff on more complex tasks, contributing to overall team success.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure work is conducted in compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Requirements: Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical service, maintenance, or repair, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical systems.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to independently diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot effectively to identify solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members, report findings clearly, and follow instructions from senior technicians or supervisors.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and precision when performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in physically demanding environments, and use safety equipment when required.

Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):

• Mechanical or Industrial Maintenance certification (e.g., PMMI, MT1).
• OSHA safety certifications or equivalent.
• Certification in relevant mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, or PLC).
