The Mechanical Sales Manager – Valve Systems is responsible for managing sales activities, developing client relationships, and achieving sales targets for industrial valve products. This includes gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, and control valves used in sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, water, power, and manufacturing. The role requires both technical knowledge and commercial acumen to support clients with the right solutions and drive business growth.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for valve systems across assigned territories or sectors.
Generate new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, EPC contractors, and consultants.
Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs, tenders, and direct inquiries.
Provide clients with product selection guidance, technical support, and valve specifications based on project needs.
Collaborate with internal departments including engineering, projects, and after-sales to ensure successful delivery.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and new product developments.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports using CRM tools.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to represent the company and promote its offerings.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in technical sales of industrial valves or mechanical equipment, preferably in oil & gas or utilities sectors.
Good understanding of valve types, applications, and international standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO).
Proven ability to develop client relationships and close high-value sales deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Experience in project-based sales involving EPC contractors.
Knowledge of valve automation, actuators, and control systems.
Regional experience and familiarity with industrial clients and procurement channels.
Results-driven with a strong customer service mindset.
