The Mechanical Sales Manager – Turbine Systems is responsible for managing the sales and commercial development of turbine systems—primarily steam and gas turbines—for power and industrial applications. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, providing technical support, managing key accounts, and driving the sales pipeline to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Lead sales activities for turbine products and services across industrial sectors such as power, oil & gas, and utilities.
Develop and execute sales plans to secure new turbine supply, retrofit, and long-term service agreements (LTSA).
Respond to RFQs, prepare technical-commercial proposals, and handle bid clarifications and negotiations.
Support customers in turbine sizing, selection, integration, and performance optimization.
Coordinate with engineering, project execution, and service teams to align customer requirements with delivery capabilities.
Maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, OEM partners, and strategic clients.
Represent the company at trade shows, technical seminars, and high-level client meetings.
Track market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Maintain detailed CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline activity reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Power Engineering (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
5–8 years of technical sales experience in turbine systems, rotating equipment, or power generation.
Strong technical understanding of gas and steam turbines, performance parameters, and auxiliary systems.
Proven ability to manage project-based sales cycles and negotiate complex industrial contracts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and technical proposal platforms.
Familiarity with turbine OEMs, aftermarket services, and refurbishment markets.
Experience in industrial and utility-scale project environments.
Knowledge of international industry standards (API, ASME, IEC, ISO).
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and travel as needed.
