Job Summary:

The Mechanical Sales Manager – Instrumentation Systems is responsible for driving sales and business development of process control and instrumentation products. The role involves identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing technical support for instrumentation solutions including pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments used in oil & gas, power plants, water utilities, and manufacturing industries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales of mechanical and process instrumentation equipment across assigned regions or sectors.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

  • Handle complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing, including preparation of technical and commercial proposals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, and end users.

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product demonstrations.

  • Coordinate with internal technical teams for solution development, product configurations, and customer support.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, market needs, and competitor offerings.

  • Participate in trade shows, technical events, and customer presentations.

  • Maintain CRM records, sales reports, and accurate sales forecasts.

  • Ensure all products offered meet regulatory and industry standards (ISA, IEC, ISO, ATEX, SIL, etc.).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • 5–8 years of sales experience in industrial instrumentation or control systems.

  • Good understanding of process instruments (transmitters, switches, gauges, sensors, etc.) and their industrial applications.

  • Proven track record in B2B technical sales and managing complex client relationships.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and proposal management tools.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working with global instrumentation brands (e.g., Emerson, ABB, Endress+Hauser, Yokogawa, etc.).

  • Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, and DCS environments.

  • Strong network in sectors such as oil & gas, water utilities, or heavy industry.

  • Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and project follow-ups.
