The Mechanical Sales Manager – Fabrication Division is responsible for managing the sales and business development of custom-fabricated steel structures, pressure vessels, skids, pipe spools, and heavy equipment components. This role focuses on building client relationships, securing fabrication contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction across key industries such as oil & gas, power, infrastructure, and process industries.
Develop and implement a sales strategy for fabricated products and turnkey fabrication solutions.
Identify and pursue business opportunities with EPC contractors, OEMs, industrial clients, and developers.
Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals for fabrication packages in compliance with project specs and standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.).
Work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure accurate scope, costing, and timelines.
Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and site visits to gather requirements and build trust.
Represent the company at trade exhibitions, industry events, and networking forums.
Monitor market activity, competitors, and pricing trends to remain competitive and profitable.
Maintain CRM systems, sales forecasts, and performance tracking reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5–8 years of sales or business development experience in steel fabrication, pressure vessels, or industrial construction.
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, material specifications, and NDT requirements.
Proven track record in project-based technical sales and managing industrial clients.
Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms, and basic project estimation tools.
Experience with fabrication for oil & gas, power plants, or structural steel packages.
Knowledge of international fabrication codes and client specification compliance.
Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and interface with design teams.
