The Mechanical Sales Manager – Boiler Systems is responsible for generating and managing sales of industrial boiler systems, including fire-tube, water-tube, HRSG, and auxiliary equipment. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, handling technical proposals, building relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets across sectors such as oil & gas, manufacturing, power, and district energy.
Develop and implement sales strategies to promote industrial boilers and thermal systems.
Generate leads, respond to RFQs/tenders, and manage the complete sales cycle from inquiry to contract signing.
Conduct site visits, understand client needs, and provide technical recommendations for boiler selection and integration.
Liaise with engineering and project teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.
Maintain and grow relationships with consultants, EPCs, plant operators, and procurement teams.
Prepare and deliver technical-commercial proposals, including cost estimates and compliance documents.
Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to refine sales approaches.
Represent the company at trade exhibitions, technical seminars, and client meetings.
Maintain sales reports, forecasts, and CRM records to track pipeline activity and performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5–8 years of experience in technical sales of boilers, thermal systems, or power equipment.
Sound knowledge of boiler types, combustion systems, steam distribution, and applicable codes (ASME, ISO, IBR, etc.).
Experience in dealing with industrial customers, consultants, and EPC contractors.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and basic project costing tools.
Experience in project-based sales and proposal management.
Familiarity with auxiliary systems such as feedwater pumps, economizers, burners, and control panels.
Understanding of energy efficiency measures, emissions compliance, and renewable heat options.
Ability to travel regionally and manage multiple client accounts.
