ob Summary:

The Mechanical Sales Director – Valves is responsible for leading and expanding the company’s valve sales operations across targeted industries and regions. This role combines strategic business development with deep technical expertise in mechanical valves. The director will drive revenue growth, build key customer relationships, develop sales strategies, and support the sales team in delivering tailored solutions to clients in oil & gas, power, utilities, and industrial sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales strategy and execution for all valve products, including gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, control, and safety relief valves.

  • Manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and expand the company's presence in domestic and international markets.

  • Oversee tendering, pricing strategy, technical clarifications, and contract negotiations.

  • Provide technical support to the sales team and clients, ensuring accurate product selection and compliance with specifications (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, etc.).

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approach and product positioning.

  • Develop and implement KPIs to track sales performance, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

  • Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of regional sales managers and representatives.

  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and high-level customer meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MBA or equivalent in Sales/Marketing is a plus).

  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales of industrial valves, including at least 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical valve products and their applications in oil & gas, power, water, and process industries.

  • Proven ability to manage large accounts and close high-value contracts.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and MS Office.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Existing network of EPC contractors, OEMs, and end users.

  • Knowledge of automation and actuation systems for valves.

  • Experience in international sales and commercial contract execution.

  • Goal-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
