The Mechanical Sales Director – HVAC Systems is responsible for leading the strategic and operational sales activities of the HVAC division. This role involves driving revenue growth, managing high-value client relationships, and leading the sales team in securing major contracts for chillers, VRF/VRV systems, air handling units (AHUs), ducted systems, and other mechanical ventilation solutions in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Develop and execute the division’s HVAC sales strategy aligned with company goals and market demands.
Lead and mentor the HVAC sales team to achieve sales targets across multiple regions or sectors.
Oversee the tendering and bidding process for HVAC projects, ensuring technical compliance and profitability.
Build strong relationships with consultants, MEP contractors, developers, and facility owners.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Drive the adoption of energy-efficient and smart HVAC technologies in client proposals.
Represent the company at trade shows, client presentations, and industry forums.
Report regularly on sales performance, market insights, and strategic opportunities to senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (MBA is a plus).
10+ years of experience in HVAC systems sales, with at least 3–5 years in a director or senior leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems (chillers, VRF, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork, ventilation systems).
Proven track record of closing large-scale commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
Strong leadership, client engagement, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in CRM platforms, tendering tools, and MS Office Suite.
Existing network of industry contacts including consultants, developers, and contractors.
Familiarity with LEED, Estidama, and other energy efficiency and sustainability standards.
Experience in district cooling, high-rise developments, and industrial ventilation projects.
Ability to lead technical-commercial discussions and influence decision-makers.
