Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Director – Fabrication Division is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fabrication operations, including planning, production, quality control, and delivery of fabricated steel structures, piping, skids, tanks, and pressure vessels. The role requires strong leadership and project management capabilities to ensure timely execution, cost control, and adherence to safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead day-to-day operations of fabrication workshops and yards.

  • Ensure production targets, timelines, and budgets are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Oversee project execution for steel, piping, and modular fabrication in line with ASME, AWS, API, and client specifications.

  • Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, QA/QC, procurement, and logistics for smooth workflow.

  • Implement lean manufacturing practices, process improvements, and automation initiatives.

  • Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with HSE policies and legal requirements.

  • Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials.

  • Maintain strong client communication for ongoing projects and ensure alignment with expectations.

  • Monitor KPIs such as production output, welding performance, rework rates, and delivery schedules.

  • Develop and mentor fabrication supervisors, foremen, and technical staff.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (certifications in welding/fabrication are a plus).

  • 10+ years of experience in industrial or structural fabrication, with at least 3–5 years in a senior managerial or director-level role.

  • Strong understanding of fabrication codes (ASME, API, AWS, etc.), materials (carbon/stainless steel), and NDT requirements.

  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in reading fabrication drawings, production planning software, and ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with modular skid fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing.

  • Background in EPC or oil & gas fabrication projects.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and cost-control acumen.

  • Ability to lead shop floor transformation and improve throughput.
