Job Summary:

The Mechanical Sales Director – Boiler Systems is responsible for driving the sales strategy and business development activities for industrial and commercial boiler systems. This includes managing key accounts, developing new markets, and supporting the sales team with deep technical expertise in mechanical systems, particularly steam and hot water boilers. The director plays a key role in achieving revenue targets, managing tenders, and expanding the company’s footprint in energy and industrial sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales initiatives for packaged boilers, fire-tube and water-tube boilers, HRSGs, biomass systems, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets in oil & gas, power, district energy, and industrial sectors.

  • Identify and build relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and end users.

  • Lead technical and commercial negotiations for high-value boiler supply and turnkey projects.

  • Provide technical guidance on boiler system sizing, integration, and compliance with standards (ASME, IBR, ISO, etc.).

  • Oversee proposal preparation, bid submissions, contract review, and pricing strategy.

  • Support after-sales and service teams in managing warranties, performance guarantees, and long-term maintenance contracts.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to refine business development strategy.

  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and client meetings.

  • Train and mentor regional sales teams on technical and commercial aspects of boiler products.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MBA or commercial degree is a plus).

  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales or business development for boiler systems, with 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership position.

  • In-depth knowledge of steam generation systems, boiler auxiliaries (feedwater, deaerators, economizers), and burner technology.

  • Proven track record in managing complex sales cycles and winning large-scale industrial contracts.

  • Excellent communication, client management, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, tender management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Familiarity with green energy solutions such as waste heat recovery boilers and hybrid systems.

  • Experience in project-based sales and working with EPC contractors.

  • Knowledge of international codes such as ASME Section I, EN 12952, and local regulatory frameworks.

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and business acumen.
