Job Title: Mechanical Process Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fresher Mechanical Process Engineer to join our team. As a fresher in this role, you will assist in optimizing and improving mechanical manufacturing processes, ensuring that products are efficiently produced while meeting quality and safety standards. You will work closely with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to learn and apply engineering principles to real-world problems, help improve production processes, and ensure the efficient use of resources in manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
Process Support and Optimization:
- Assist in analyzing and improving existing manufacturing processes to ensure they are efficient, cost-effective, and meet product quality standards.
- Work with senior engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements, such as reducing cycle times, minimizing waste, or enhancing automation.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve production efficiency.
Process Monitoring and Control:
- Help monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, efficiency, and quality, ensuring that processes are running smoothly and meeting production goals.
- Assist in troubleshooting process-related issues, working with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Learn to use process control tools and software to monitor performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize manufacturing processes.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with production teams, quality control engineers, and design engineers to ensure that processes meet design specifications and production requirements.
- Support the preparation of production plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient production.
- Participate in the communication and coordination between various departments to ensure seamless process implementation and troubleshooting.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in documenting process parameters, changes, and improvements to ensure accurate records are maintained for compliance, audits, and future reference.
- Prepare reports on process performance, highlighting issues, progress, and opportunities for improvement.
- Help generate standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other process-related documentation to guide the production team.
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
- Assist in quality control activities by ensuring that processes produce parts that meet quality standards and specifications.
- Support process audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects, to enhance production processes and reduce waste.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of mechanical process engineering and manufacturing.
- Work under the mentorship of senior engineers to develop skills in process design, improvement, and troubleshooting.
- Take an active role in developing problem-solving skills and applying engineering principles to real-world manufacturing challenges.

Vehicle Dynamics:
- Assist in analyzing and optimizing vehicle handling, stability, and ride comfort through simulation and testing.
Powertrain Systems:
- Contribute to the design and testing of powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.
Structural Engineering:
- Design and test vehicle structures for safety, performance, and durability under various conditions.
Electronics & Electrical Systems:
- Support the integration of electronic systems, including vehicle control, infotainment, and electrical power distribution.
Thermal Systems:
- Assist in the development of thermal management systems, focusing on engine cooling and HVAC systems.
Manufacturing & Assembly:
- Participate in optimizing manufacturing processes and assembly techniques to improve efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or individuals with less than 1-2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools, machinery, and equipment used in mechanical production environments.
- Knowledge of process analysis, control techniques, and software (e.g., MATLAB, Excel, or similar) is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus but not essential.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues in the manufacturing process.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting findings.
