The Senior Mechanical Engineer – Valve Design is a technical leader responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of industrial valve systems used in high-pressure, corrosive, and regulated applications across sectors such as oil & gas, water treatment, power generation, and process industries. This role leads complex product development projects, mentors junior engineers, and ensures valve designs meet rigorous industry standards, performance targets, and customer requirements. The senior engineer plays a key role in innovation, standardization, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of advanced valve assemblies and components, including pressure-retaining parts, actuators, seals, and flow control features.
Perform and review complex engineering analyses (stress, fluid flow, thermal, fatigue) and ensure structural integrity under ASME, API, and ANSI codes.
Guide the application of materials, coatings, and sealing technologies for challenging media and environmental conditions.
Drive new product development, value engineering, and cost-reduction initiatives across product lines.
Collaborate with testing, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust and manufacturable designs.
Develop and review DFMEAs, test plans (DVP&R), and validation procedures for regulatory and customer compliance.
Provide technical leadership in resolving field issues, warranty claims, and customer inquiries.
Mentor and review work from junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Key Focus Areas:
Leadership in valve product design, validation, and engineering innovation
In-depth application of ASME/API/ANSI valve codes and pressure equipment standards
Structural and thermal analysis of pressure-containing components
Design optimization for manufacturability, performance, and reliability
Technical mentorship and cross-functional collaboration
