Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer – Turbo Integration is a technical leader responsible for driving the design, development, and seamless integration of turbocharger systems across multiple engine platforms. This role leads complex engineering projects, provides technical mentorship, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure turbo systems meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets. The senior engineer plays a key role in troubleshooting, design optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting production and R&D efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and integration of turbocharger systems, including mounting structures, ducting, cooling, and actuator interfaces.
Develop, review, and approve detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications for prototype and production applications.
Plan, coordinate, and support prototype testing, validation, and durability programs to verify turbocharger system performance.
Analyze complex test data, including pressures, temperatures, vibration, and stress, to identify root causes of issues and recommend design improvements.
Collaborate closely with controls, calibration, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve integration challenges and optimize system performance.
Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities on prototypes and production components, providing effective corrective actions.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices across the team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting design efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancements.
Ensure engineering documentation, revision control, and regulatory compliance are maintained to company and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field required
Master’s degree or advanced technical certifications preferred
Experience:
7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automotive turbocharger or powertrain system integration
Proven track record leading complex design projects and cross-functional teams
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX)
Deep understanding of turbocharger system mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid flow, and material science
Strong experience with prototype testing, data analysis, and validation techniques
Skilled in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
