We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing Support to assist with day-to-day production support, troubleshooting, and process documentation. This entry-level role is ideal for fresh graduates or engineers with up to 2 years of experience, who are eager to build their technical foundation in a high-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams to support smooth and efficient operations on the shop floor.
Provide on-the-ground engineering support to production teams for mechanical issues during assembly or fabrication.
Assist in identifying root causes of shop-floor problems and suggest immediate corrective actions.
Monitor manufacturing KPIs and highlight abnormalities or delays in processes.
Prepare and update manufacturing process documentation including work instructions, SOPs, and checklists.
Assist in maintaining records for tooling, fixtures, and process changes.
Support documentation for internal audits and quality assurance.
Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Assist in verifying part dimensions and tolerances in coordination with QA/QC.
Coordinate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve shop floor issues.
Track and follow up on material availability, rework parts, and change requests.
Assist in production planning and execution tasks when required.
Participate in improvement initiatives such as 5S, lean manufacturing, and kaizen events.
Support data collection and basic analysis for process improvement activities.
Identify and report process inefficiencies and propose improvements.
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role.
Basic knowledge of fabrication, assembly, or machining processes.
Ability to read engineering drawings and familiarity with tools like AutoCAD/SolidWorks (basic level).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced production environment.
