Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Support

Job Summary:

The Junior Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Support assists in the design, testing, and validation of HVAC systems for automotive applications. This entry-level engineering role supports senior engineers in developing HVAC components and subsystems, performing thermal and mechanical analysis, and preparing technical documentation. The junior engineer gains hands-on experience with HVAC design tools, participates in lab testing, and helps ensure system performance meets project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of HVAC components such as ducts, blowers, heat exchangers, and control systems under senior engineer guidance.

  • Support testing and validation activities by preparing test setups, collecting data, and analyzing results for HVAC system performance.

  • Perform basic thermal and mechanical calculations, simulations, and CAD modeling to support design efforts.

  • Help review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test plans related to HVAC systems.

  • Participate in root cause analysis of HVAC issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.

  • Maintain documentation of designs, test procedures, and validation results following company standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to support HVAC system integration and troubleshooting.

  • Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge related to automotive HVAC systems and components.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in mechanical or HVAC engineering, internships or co-ops considered

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics

  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks)

  • Understanding of HVAC components and systems is a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
