The Junior Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Support assists in the design, testing, and validation of HVAC systems for automotive applications. This entry-level engineering role supports senior engineers in developing HVAC components and subsystems, performing thermal and mechanical analysis, and preparing technical documentation. The junior engineer gains hands-on experience with HVAC design tools, participates in lab testing, and helps ensure system performance meets project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of HVAC components such as ducts, blowers, heat exchangers, and control systems under senior engineer guidance.
Support testing and validation activities by preparing test setups, collecting data, and analyzing results for HVAC system performance.
Perform basic thermal and mechanical calculations, simulations, and CAD modeling to support design efforts.
Help review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test plans related to HVAC systems.
Participate in root cause analysis of HVAC issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Maintain documentation of designs, test procedures, and validation results following company standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to support HVAC system integration and troubleshooting.
Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge related to automotive HVAC systems and components.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
Experience:
0–2 years of experience in mechanical or HVAC engineering, internships or co-ops considered
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks)
Understanding of HVAC components and systems is a plus
