Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will assist with the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products. You will work closely with senior engineers and other team members to create innovative solutions that meet customer specifications, industry standards, and performance requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in mechanical design engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Support: Assist in the creation of mechanical designs for components, assemblies, and systems, ensuring they meet functional and performance specifications.
- CAD Modeling: Use CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) to create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Prototyping & Testing: Support the prototyping process by assisting in the creation of test models, performing hands-on tests, and analyzing the results to improve designs.
- Design Modifications: Review and modify existing designs based on feedback from senior engineers or testing results. Ensure design improvements align with project requirements and performance criteria.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and product development, to ensure designs can be efficiently produced and meet quality standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Research & Development: Assist with research activities to identify new materials, technologies, or techniques that could be incorporated into future designs.
- Problem-Solving: Support the identification and resolution of mechanical design issues by providing creative solutions and learning from senior engineers.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, new design tools, and emerging technologies to contribute to continuous improvement in design processes.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design or engineering, including internships or academic projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing mechanical parts and assemblies. Familiarity with engineering calculations and analysis tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify mechanical issues and contribute to the development of solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document and present design ideas clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate designs and ensure that all elements are correctly represented in CAD models and technical documentation.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in different engineering disciplines and functions.

Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
