Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Fresher Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for automotive applications. As a fresher in this role, you will assist senior engineers in the design, analysis, and testing of vehicle systems and components. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in real-world projects while gaining hands-on experience in the automotive design process. You will work on diverse areas including vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems, structural engineering, electronics, thermal management, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Vehicle Dynamics:
- Help analyze and optimize vehicle handling, stability, and ride comfort through simulation tools and physical testing.
- Support vehicle performance testing, including suspension dynamics and tire interaction, to ensure that vehicles meet design and safety specifications.
- Assist in using simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) to improve vehicle dynamics parameters and enhance driving performance.
Support Powertrain Systems Design:
- Contribute to the design and testing of key powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.
- Assist in optimizing powertrain performance for fuel efficiency, emissions, and overall drivability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate the integration of powertrain components into vehicle systems.
Structural Engineering Support:
- Assist in the design and testing of vehicle structures, including the body, chassis, and frame, for safety, performance, and durability under various conditions.
- Work with senior engineers to conduct crash simulations and structural integrity tests to meet regulatory and safety standards.
- Contribute to the design of lightweight and strong materials to improve overall vehicle performance and reduce weight.
Electronics & Electrical Systems Integration:
- Support the integration of electrical and electronic systems, including vehicle control systems, infotainment, and electrical power distribution.
- Assist in the development of wiring diagrams, schematics, and PCB layouts.
- Work on testing and troubleshooting electronic components to ensure proper functionality and integration with mechanical systems.
Thermal Systems Development:
- Assist in the design and development of thermal management systems for vehicle engines, cooling systems, and HVAC systems.
- Help in analyzing and optimizing heat dissipation methods to improve engine efficiency and comfort.
- Support testing activities to ensure that the thermal systems meet performance and safety standards.
Manufacturing & Assembly Optimization:
- Participate in optimizing manufacturing processes for various vehicle components, working to reduce costs and improve product quality.
- Help in refining assembly techniques to enhance efficiency and ensure that vehicles are built to exact specifications.
- Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot design issues that arise during manufacturing and propose solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or individuals with less than 1-2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems, and structural engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for component design and modeling.
- Knowledge of simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) for analyzing mechanical systems.
- Understanding of thermal systems and HVAC design concepts is beneficial.
- Familiarity with electrical systems integration and automotive wiring is a plus.
