Job Summary:

The Senior Masonry Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the quality execution of all masonry-related works, including blockwork, plastering, tiling, bricklaying, and finishing. The role involves managing large teams of masons and helpers, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, enforcing safety standards, and delivering high-quality results in line with project specifications and timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise all on-site masonry works across multiple zones or projects.

  • Interpret structural and architectural drawings and ensure accurate layout and execution.

  • Assign work, manage manpower, and oversee productivity and work discipline on-site.

  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure alignment, leveling, and finish meet required standards.

  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, construction schedules, and safety protocols.

  • Liaise with engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to coordinate work efficiently.

  • Manage materials and tools, minimize wastage, and maintain stock levels for continuous operations.

  • Train and mentor junior supervisors and masons to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports, labor deployment records, and issue logs.

  • Resolve site-level technical and operational challenges swiftly and effectively.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical qualification.

  • 6–10+ years of experience in masonry supervision, with proven experience on large-scale projects.

  • Strong understanding of all types of masonry work including block, brick, plaster, screed, and tile.

  • Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings and BOQs.

  • Excellent leadership, planning, and coordination skills.

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and regulatory compliance.

  • High attention to detail with a focus on workmanship quality.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
