The Junior Masonry Supervisor supports the planning, supervision, and quality control of masonry works on construction sites. Working under the guidance of senior supervisors or engineers, the role ensures that masonry tasks such as block work, plastering, tiling, and bricklaying are carried out efficiently, safely, and according to technical drawings and standards.
Assist in supervising daily masonry work, including block laying, plastering, and tiling.
Allocate tasks to masons and helpers and ensure productivity targets are met.
Read and interpret masonry layout drawings and instructions.
Monitor quality and alignment of walls, finishes, and joints.
Ensure the correct use of tools, materials, and safety equipment.
Report work progress, material needs, and any site issues to senior supervisors.
Maintain site cleanliness and enforce safe working practices.
Coordinate with other trades to avoid work conflicts and ensure smooth operations.
Support training and skill development for new or less experienced workers.
Diploma or certificate in Civil Construction or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
1–2 years of practical experience in masonry or general site supervision.
Basic understanding of masonry techniques and construction drawings.
Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and tools.
Good leadership and team coordination skills.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to site requirements.
Attention to detail and commitment to work quality.
Willingness to learn and grow under senior supervision.
Basic reporting and communication skills.
