The Market Development Director – HVAC is responsible for expanding market presence, creating new business opportunities, and driving strategic growth for the HVAC division across targeted industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. This role focuses on identifying new client segments, building strategic partnerships, enhancing brand visibility, and aligning product offerings with market demand.
Develop and execute comprehensive market development strategies to increase HVAC business footprint.
Identify and evaluate new regional markets, sectors, and applications (commercial buildings, data centers, oil & gas, district cooling, industrial plants).
Drive product and solution positioning strategies based on regional trends and customer demands.
Generate high-value leads and identify untapped segments across consultants, contractors, EPCs, and developers.
Create tailored go-to-market plans for new product launches, service offerings, and retrofit solutions.
Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, MEP consultants, project developers, and government agencies.
Form strategic alliances with technology providers, OEMs, and distribution partners.
Support regional sales teams with market insights, opportunity mapping, and technical-commercial positioning.
Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams to align product customization with client needs and regional compliance standards.
Represent the company at HVAC industry events, exhibitions, and forums.
Contribute to HVAC market intelligence reports, white papers, and technical presentations.
Provide regular market development reports, opportunity assessments, and strategic feedback to executive leadership.
Track ROI on market initiatives and continuously optimize approach based on performance metrics.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus)
Minimum 12+ years of experience in HVAC industry, with a focus on business development or market strategy
Deep understanding of HVAC technologies (chillers, AHUs, VRF, DX, controls, etc.) and regulatory standards
Strong network within MEP, construction, and infrastructure sectors
Experience managing regional market development initiatives
