Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Marine Mechanical Engineer with specialized expertise in valve and fluid systems to join our marine engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, testing, and maintenance of valve and fluid control systems used in marine vessels and offshore platforms. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize marine valve and fluid systems, including pumps, piping, and control valves, ensuring compliance with marine engineering standards.

  • Perform detailed mechanical analysis and troubleshooting of fluid systems onboard ships and offshore structures.

  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to support engineering solutions.

  • Conduct inspections, testing, and validation of valve and fluid systems during manufacturing and installation phases.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and project teams to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, manuals, and maintenance procedures.

  • Support commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities for marine fluid systems.

  • Stay updated with industry best practices, standards (e.g., IMO, ABS, DNV), and emerging technologies related to marine valve and fluid systems.

  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations in all engineering activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.

  • 3-7 years of experience in marine mechanical engineering, with a focus on valve and fluid systems.

  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design principles.

  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.

  • Experience with marine industry standards and regulations (IMO, ABS, DNV, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to travel or work offshore as required.

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer certification.

  • Experience with CFD simulation or FEA related to fluid systems.

  • Familiarity with valve selection, sizing, and performance testing.

  • Knowledge of marine propulsion and auxiliary systems.
