Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead complex manufacturing initiatives, drive process innovation, and support strategic production goals. This role is central to ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable operations across the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Focus Areas:

1. Strategic Process Improvement

    • Lead high-impact process optimization projects to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

    • Apply advanced Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping techniques to achieve operational excellence.

2. Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers and production staff.

    • Lead cross-functional teams for projects involving engineering, quality, R&D, and supply chain.

3. Advanced Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis

    • Resolve complex manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC).

    • Drive permanent corrective actions through root cause analysis and preventive systems.

4. New Product & Technology Integration

    • Collaborate with design and R&D teams to ensure smooth new product introductions (NPI) into manufacturing.

    • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (automation, robotics, IoT).

5. Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure processes meet industry and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, depending on industry).

    • Support audits, documentation control, and process validation protocols.

Core Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

    • Analyze performance metrics (OEE, FPY, scrap rate, downtime) and develop data-driven solutions.

    • Develop and maintain critical process documentation: PFMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions.

    • Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives: 5S, standard work, SMED, Kanban, etc.

    • Drive capital improvement projects — including justification, selection, and commissioning of new equipment.

    • Collaborate with maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and uptime.

    • Ensure workplace safety and ergonomics are embedded into process design.

    • Lead or participate in continuous improvement workshops and kaizen events.

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

    • 6+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing/process engineering role.

    • Strong expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred).

    • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and mentoring junior engineers.

    • Proficiency in CAD software, data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI), and ERP/MES systems.

    • Deep understanding of PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and process validation.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (automation, robotics, Industry 4.0).

    • Prior experience in high-volume, high-compliance industries (automotive, medical device, aerospace, etc.).

    • Knowledge of sustainability or energy-efficient process design.
