The Manufacturing Manager โ Valve Production is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing operations of industrial valves, including planning, production, quality, safety, and delivery. The role ensures that products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the required quality standards while meeting production targets and customer delivery timelines.
Oversee the entire valve manufacturing process โ from raw material receipt to final assembly and testing
Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer requirements
Manage production lines for various valve types (e.g., gate, globe, ball, check, control, safety valves)
Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Monitor and improve KPIs: production output, on-time delivery, quality yields, and equipment efficiency
Optimize resource utilization including manpower, machines, and materials
Ensure manufacturing compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and customer-specific standards
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformities and defects
Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve product and process issues
Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors, engineers, and technicians
Conduct performance reviews, skill development, and succession planning
Foster a safety-first, results-driven, and collaborative team culture
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and production equipment
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and maximize reliability
Recommend capital investments and technology upgrades for operational improvement
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, SCM, and Sales to ensure seamless production flow
Participate in new product introductions (NPI), process validation, and pilot runs
Support procurement in evaluating supplier performance for critical materials/components
Valve assembly, machining, testing, and dispatch
Production planning and workflow optimization
Quality assurance and compliance with API/ASME standards
Team management and performance tracking
Process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Bachelorโs degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
10+ years of manufacturing experience, with 5+ years in a managerial role within valve or industrial product manufacturing
In-depth understanding of valve manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, testing, painting)
Strong working knowledge of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001 standards
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Knowledge of safety standards and workplace compliance (OSHA, HSE)
Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
PMP or relevant manufacturing/operations certifications
API or ASME standards training/certifications
Plant-based leadership role with frequent shop floor presence
Occasional travel for audits, vendor visits, or technical coordination
May require extended hours during peak production or turnaround periods
